Cole Haan Air Logan Short Boot - New Style for Women 2011

Once in a while a new look can come along that can both surprise and delight me - such is the case with the new Cole Haan Air Logan Short boot.  This style practically swept me off my feet when I first saw it, vowing that I myself will own a pair for this coming fall season.

What to notice:  The first thing that I noticed about the boot is the look.  It has a harness sort of look to it, with a buckled strap around the ankle - but there is something else that almost surpasses my ability to put it out in words - it is the specific cut of the boot, the ankle of the strap and the ultra smooth look -- all combined.

Hard to resist.  =)

What else to know:  This boot is part of the Cole Haan collection that is featuring "Nike Air" technology - giving it so much above and beyond how the boot looks.  Feel like wearing something comfy?  With this technology included with the boot, this will likely fit the bill.  With all of this the looks of the boot are just "frosting on the cake" - but in truth I would buy this boot for the looks alone.

Other info:  The boot comes in a few different colors (at this writing) including Greige (shown in photo), Black and Dark Chocolate (another color that will likely be hard to resist).  Retail price is around $275-$280.

Bottom line:  This is the only belted boot that I have seen where the sleek look overcomes the edgy addition of the harness, but the two together are an unbeatable combination.

Sam Edelman Parley Boot for Women

New for 2011 in the Sam Edelman collection is the Sam Edelman Parley Boot.  It is a unique style that reminds me of a men's style - with a definite womanly touch. 

Zip up the side for easy in and out - as well as adding much to the style itself. 

Like a western look?  The Parley has it.  It has a western rounded toe, with a bit of a heel to make it an unmistakable western gal look.

Like a simple, sleek look?  The Sam Edelman Parley has that as well.  There are no added "bells and whistles" for this boot - yet the look is absolutely gorgeous.

Colors:  It is available in Whiskey (shown in photo) as well as Black.  (Other colors may appear as time goes on as well.)

Sam Edelman Karla Boot for Women

Sam Edelman is one of my top brands to recommend to women - and the Sam Edelman Karla Boot is a good example of why.  Like many, many other styles of boots, shoes and sandals from this name in footwear, this style is not afraid to stand out in a crowd.

What is special about it:  While I have already seen quite a number of different lace-up boots for women this year coming for the fall season, this style is unique in a smoother, sleeker look, with a suede version that particularly catches the eye.  It is a bold style that women will love that enjoy setting their ensembles off with a bit of an edge.
