Frye Braylin Wedge Sandals - Artisinal and Braided

Frye Braylin Artisanal Sandal
There are a couple new styles for spring and summer of 2011 from the Frye collection that I would like to pass along -- the Frye Braylin Artisanal T-Strap sandal and the Frye Braylin Braided sandal.  Both sandals are - well, they are stunning.  =)

The Frye Braylin Artisanal T-Strap Wedge - This is an interesting sandal to try and describe - there are a number of different touches to this sandal, and while there is quite a bit of detailing it manages to maintain an earthy sort of look.

The heel height on these sandals can practically bring you into the ether!  Just kidding - this is not a height that I am able to personally indulge in, so I am jealous.  The heels are about 4 1/2 inches, with a platform of about 1 1/2 inches.  Perhaps the part that stands out the most is the look of the cork - which is what the heel and platform are made of.
Frye Braylin Braided Wedge

Next up, the Frye Braylin Braided wedge - Like the Artisanal, this sandal has a lovely and curvy wedge heel, with just the right height for the platform.  And - it has the unique look of cork - which interestingly makes for a gorgeous look.  The braided straps top of the look for this pick.

It's tough to beat the looks for these sandals - the Frye Braylin Artisanal and the Frye Braylin Braided sandals are a good example of the unique styles available to women this spring - but they are just that - examples.  There are many other styles to choose from, all of them are nothing short of gorgeous.

More to come for the women's new Frye styles 2011.

Raffini Nolce Slide - New Summer Sandal from Umberto Raffini

The Umberto Raffini Nolce Slide Sandal not only has some lovely looks to it, it is a specially constructed sandal for women.  It is made with comfort in mind - perhaps even moreso than other styles from the Raffini lineup this year.

The Raffini Nolce has a special elasticized upper - the straps cross over each other and the overall shoe (or rather sandal) design is made to hug the foot.  This prevents slippage, and also creates a more comfortable wear.

At this writing, the only color available for the Nolce is black.  If there is just one color that a shoe or sandal comes out in, black is the right one.

This sandal will literally go with just about everything under the rainbow - or rather in a woman's closet.  =)

Availability:  When shopping online (which in my opinion is the way to go anyway), there are a couple of places that you can check out to buy this sandal...

Raffini Nolce @ The Fashion Fiend - Here you will find this sandal from multiple merchants - or as many as exist that carry it.  Which brings up the next subject - the merchants that carry it.  You can find this sandal @ the Walking Company - and as of March 2011, they are an exclusive online resource - the only single merchant that carries it.  If you want to find out if other places are carrying it online however, as mentioned above, The Fashion Fiend is the place to check.  They will keep the page updated for the Umberto Raffini Slide so that you can find out if there are other resources, and you can compare prices if there are.

Umberto Raffini Brigida - New Thong Sandal for Women 2011

An up and coming brand name, and an up and coming trend - the Umberto Raffini Brigida thong sandal represents both the "Raffini" brand and the desire of women to wear chic footwear - with comfort.  =)

The Raffini Brigida sandal has a great look - it is a thong style, with silver metal studding details across the main strap of the thong.

It also has something that women may not be used to in a fashionable thong style sandal - comfort.  What provides this comfort is a special sole with memory foam - when you step into it, it immediately begins to conform to the shape of the foot.  This foam also provides cushioning, as does the rubber outsole.

If I may speak for all women, one of the downsides to wearing fashionable thong sandals has been the lack of cushioning to impacts - this can be hard on feet after a while, as well as legs.  The Umberto Raffini Brigida gives women a bit of a more comfy way to be in style.

Colors:  This sandal can be found in both Black and Tan versions.

Sizes:  Available in most or all women's full and half sizes.

Where to buy:  Find it @ The Fashion Fiend

New Frye Styles for Women - Spring 2011

Fairly recently a lineup of new Frye styles was addressed here at the Fashion Fiend blog - but yet another lineup is here, and awaiting women to find them!  They are a lineup laden with personality and promise to be some of the most fashionable footwear for women who love both a stylish and a sort of "earthy" look.

For this spring of 2011, here are some new styles of spring and summer footwear (shoes and sandals):

Frye Julie Fisherman (shown in upper left photo) - This is a lovely sandal, having the general appearance of a fisherman sandal, but with a more delicate look - just for the ladies.  =)  It comes in one color (as of this writing) - tan - but likely will be found in additional colors rather soon.  (My prediction.)

Frye Savannah Buckle Slide (shown right) - This slide sandal is a follow-up to the Frye Savannah Buckle 2-Piece, which was apparently a hit!  This slide sandal/shoe comes in quite a lovely lot of colors including Saddle, Clay, Burnt Red and Banana.

Frye Tamara Buckle T-Strap - This sandal is a bit elevated - it has a 5 inch heel, with a 1 1/2 inch platform. It is a gorgeous shoe, having triple straps up the foot and a T-Strap design.  It comes in some fun colors including a lovely blue shade - colors available at this point include Sapphire (blue), Dark Brown, Clay and Banana.

Frye Laurel Ring (shown left) - This is perhaps the most delicate looking styles of the new sandals for women from Frye.  It has a similar appearance to the Frye Laurel T-Strap (previously released), but with a fun "ring" design up the vamp.  It comes in Black and Tan at this point, perhaps more coming...

Frye Carlie Huarache Ankle Strap - Here is an interesting look this spring from Frye - a woven, huarache sandal style atop a platform sole - an interesting curvature lends this look even a more interesting and "fashion forward" look.  Colors for this sandal are plentiful, and include Slate, Natural, Mustard, Red, Dark Brown and Cognac.

Frye Corrina Woven Ankle Strap (shown right) - This sandal literally has a look that I never knew existed, and probably is one of the more unique and feminine shoes available from Frye this year.  It has a unique quilted, woven style heel, allowing quite a lift (4 1/2 inch heel, 1 inch platform) - it is simple, sleek and beautiful.

There are the new Frye styles for women - at least for now!  As more come along, I will list them out here to keep you updated.

New Fossil Handbags - March 2011

Fossil Morgan Satchel
For those ladies searching out the latest bags from Fossil coming into spring, here are new Fossil handbags as of March, 2011 (See notes toward the end of this post to get my comments on the list itself.):

Fossil Vintage Re-Issue Fabric Messenger Bag - As of this writing, this bag could be considered to be in a bit of a "scarcity."  There simply are not a number of resources that carry it, but that will likely change after a bit of time.  This is a lovely, soft (and yes, vintage) looking messenger constructed of canvas, with faux darker leather detailing.  Single color, Price $128 retail.

Fossil Vintage Re-Issue Fabric Satchel - Another vintage style, with a "Natural" base color, with darker faux leather details.  It has a sharp look to, it and also the signature logo "livin' large" on the side.  Very cute.  =)  Single color, retail price around $158.

Fossil Morgan Fabric Satchel Bag - This is the bag that is shown in the photo at the top left of the page.  (I put it there because this bag struck me personally as being the cutest of the bunch.  A great bag for ladies who like some colorful and earthy designs.  (Like myself.  =D)  Plenty of organizational features too.  Six different colors (at this writing), retail price appx. $88.

Fossil Morgan Fabric North/South (shown in right photo) - Another new tote bag from Fossil, with some sort of "edgy" details which also contribute to the function of the bag.  It is available in three different colors/looks, one of which is a very cute striped North/South tote.  Three colors, retail price about $88.

Fossil Camille Drawstring Bag - This is probably my second favorite of the bunch, having a cute drawstring style.  There are a couple of distinct looks for this bag, one of which is a butterfly pattern, the other with rose details.  Two different designs/color combos, retail price around $58.

Fossil Sasha Crossbody (photo left) - This pick from Fossil - at first look - appears to be the most popular of these new bags (that could change) - and it also is available from more resources than some of the others on this list.  It can be found in a number of different colors, whether someone is looking for vivid color, or a more traditional and warm shade.  Six different colors (nice!), retail price around $108.

Fossil Sasha Large Top Zip - This is a cross-body style bag, with a bit of a larger size to it than some of the others (the base is about 14 inches wide).  These appear to have a beautiful, high quality for the leather that they are made from.  Four different colors (perhaps more on the way or hiding somewhere =D) - retail price around $150.

Fossil Sasha Flora Top Zip (shown in photo right)  - At this writing, this is a "one of a kind" bag in terms of its design.  I was only able to track it down from one merchant online.  Adorable style!  I love the look of the warm colors with the contrasting bright floral design.  Retail price around $65.

Fossil Morgan Fabric Traveler - While I normally don't get into stripe designs too much, I love the looks of the striped version of this new Fossil handbag.  There are two different striped designs - each of which enhances the other, and the colors are soft and "easy on the eyes."  =)  Other colors available as well, including solids.  Five different colors/prints, retail price around $78.

Fossil Camille Bucket Bag (shown in photo left) - The Camille bucket back comes in a few different colors, two of which have the floral pattern as the one shown left.  Another design for this bag is strips - which is also adorable.  Three different colors/designs, retail price around $88.

Fossil Camille Satchel - Is it possible to have three favorites?  This is certainly one of my faves on this list of new bags from Fossil so far in 2011.  Whether you like floral designs, stripes or solid patterns, there is one among this group that could sweep you away.  (I would say actually that the Camille Fossil bags are the most creative of all that I have seen in the entire group.)  Eight different colors/patterns, retail price around $100.

As I mentioned in the top paragraph of this page, I want to make some comments about this list.  The way I put it together was for finding the newest arrivals from a couple of prominent merchants online, and found out which bags seemed to be "fresh out of the gate" for all of the merchants I looked over.  While I was quite thorough, there may be some styles that I have missed, but I don't believe that there are any others that are more current as of this date.

Some of the new Fossil bags on the list here can be found at more than one merchant, some of them one merchant -- but as I said, this list is new and the availability of these bags will likely increase as we move further into the spring season - and possibly beyond.

Old Gringo Erin Boot for Women

Yes, I am in love with Old Gringo - the Old Gringo Erin boot is a perfect example of why.  =)

Here is a super stylin' rugged look, with all of the beautiful detailing a lady could want.  Each of the different colors available for these boots lends a completely different look to the boot - for example the "Volcano Brass" version (shown left) has a rich and warm look, while "Bone" has a softer sort of look to it.

The detailing is a similar shade (for each of the colors of boots) so it definitely adds a look to the boot but in a more subtle way than in some of the other more colorful versions from Old Gringo.

Selection:  This boot can be found in basic colors:  Chocolate, Volcano Brass (shown in photo above) and Bone.  There are three total places I found that it could be purchased online (from merchants) and so there is enough selection to find the boot in pretty much any size or any color (as of this writing).

Price:  The price tag for the Old Gringo Erin boot is $430.00.

Shopping:  The best place to find them is @ Endless.com - I was able to find them in all of their glory - and their colors, and in plenty of sizes.

For more information on this boot, visit Old Gringo Erin Boot @ Women's Cowboy Boots

Quite a number of ladies are looking to Old Gringo to handle their "jones" for a top quality - and oh yes, let us not forget gorgeous boot - the Old Gringo Tyler Boot fits this need "to a t" for many - and it seems more each day.

This is one of the boots from this company that make me sigh just by looking at them.  =)

What is so special about them?  Well - if you can see the photo on this page (and hopefully you can), the detailing is spectacular.  Soft tan embroidery against a rich brown vintage leather.  It is too difficult to describe in words I suppose - one just need look at them to fall in love.

And - the closer one looks, the better they get.  =D

Selection:  There is one color available for these boots - as mentioned and shown above.

Price:  The retail price for the Old Gringo Tyler is around $430.00.  (This is the price that I have found them for online, and have not - at this writing - found them for a lower price.)

Frye Maggie Perf Wingtip Shoe - New for Spring 2011

Whether you are getting suited up for a day at work or you are looking for a great shoe to spiff up an easy going, jeans-wearing day, the Frye Maggie Perf Wingtip shoe is a nice choice coming into the spring seasons of 2011.

This shoe provides the classic look of a wingtip, while also bearing a bit of a heel for a bit more of a feminine touch.  Smooth leather, perforated detailing that adds quite a bit to the appearance.

Selection:  Colors include Stone Vachetta (in photo), Dark Brown Vachetta - possibly more colors will come available as time goes on.  (Also note - as of this writing, the range of sizes available is rather limited - but if you wear a size somewhere between a 7 1/2 and 8 1/2, you're in good shape.  This also may change over time, so make sure and check before you take my word for it!)

Price:  Retail price for the Frye Maggie Wingtip Perf is $188.00 online.

Shopping:  Time for my shameless plug!  =)  I have this shoe on my website (as long as it is available) - find it at The Fashion Fiend.  I do my best to keep product listings updated there to give a good look at which merchants carry it and for what price.  (Also, all merchants I provide have free shipping and returns service.)

Want to add a bit of "spiff" to your day?  If so, then the Frye Maggie Perf Wingtip shoe might just do the trick.  =D

Frye Tamara Woven Slide - A Lift For Women Spring 2011

Need a lift?  The Frye Tamara Woven Slide will give you a lift (in height at least!) for this spring season of 2011.  While these shoes have a heel of 5", they also manage to have a sleek, classic - and actually an earthy appearance.  Now - add the concept of a 1 1/2" platform, and you have a knockout look that will certainly be turning some heads.  =)

The basic design of this shoe is a "slide" with an open toe.  The interwoven leather lacing adds some personality and that earthy touch that I mentioned above.

Colors:  Mustard (shown in photo above), Dark Brown, Slate and Natural.

Price:  Retail cost for the Frye Tamara Woven Slide is $228.00.

Shopping:  You can find the Tamara Woven Slide at The Fashion Fiend (my website).  As time goes on, I will be updating listings to show who carries this shoe and for what price.  (All of the resources I pick are competitive in price and provide fast and free shipping.)

Alternative resources:  In terms of single merchants, the ones I found that carry this shoe online with the best selection include Zappos and Endless

If you are price shopping, I would try all three of the above to get the best look.

One last word about the Frye Tamara Woven Slide - If the thought of wearing a 5" heel makes you cringe a bit, be aware of the fact that the Frye company is quite talented at creating footwear that will stay comfortable on feet - even if you are a bit higher up in the air than usual.  =)

Frye Emma Woven Ballet Flat - New Spring Style for 2011

I for one am ready for spring, and one of the new Frye shoe styles for 2011 appears to be waiting for ladies who feel the same way - the Frye Emma Woven Ballet Flat.

For those of us women who appreciate having a shoe style which is a "staple" of a wardrobe, this is a great choice.  It is simple, yet it is quite lovely - and not even a little bit boring.

The basic style is interwoven leather for the upper in a soft silhouette that will accent the shape of a woman's foot.  With all of the different colors that this ballet flat comes in, it will be quite tempting to purchase multiple pairs.  =)

Speaking of colors:  The Frye Emma Woven Slipper is available in nine different shades (as of this writing) - they include Cognac (shown in the photo above), Black, Blush, Dark Brown, Leaf, Natural, Purple, Red and Slate.

Cost:  Retail price for this shoe is $178.00.

Shopping:  While at this writing I was only able to find one merchant who carries the Frye Emma Woven Ballet Flat online, it will very likely come available at other sites as well in the near future.  The best place to find "who carries what and for what price" for these shoes is at the Fashion Fiend website, since you will find that the merchant listings there are kept updated and you can get a good look at the entire selection available from multiple merchants (when they come available).

Another spring season is around the corner, and with it comes another great warm weather shoe from Frye - the Frye Emma Woven Ballet Flat.  =)

Frye Julia Grommet Lace Boot - Looks to Die For and Where to Buy Them

I would like to tip my hat to the person who thought up the Frye Julia Grommet Lace boot - this is not only a great new boot for the Frye collection, it is one of the most gorgeous and versatile boots I have had the pleasure of seeing this year!

When folded over, this boot is actually one of the cutest "bootie" styles (see photo below) - it is different than any other I have seen.  It can be laced at the tongue when folded down to create a look that I believe will be followed and perhaps even copied by other boot makers (but probably not equalled).

Another choice is to wear the boot straight up - which looks gorgeous as well, but completely different (see photo above).

I predict that quite a number of "fashion forward" women will eventually be scrambling to find these boots - but at this point they are pretty much just out of the gate, and very much available to buy online.

Selection:  There are a couple of distinct looks for the Frye Julia Grommet lace, the first being a solid rich color of Cognac (shown in photos on this page).  Another look involves contrasting colors - Grey Antique/Canvas.  I expect (a prediction) that this selection will expand with an increasing demand for it over time.

Shopping:  Now onto the good stuff - how to get it, and how fast?  =)  It can be found at The Fashion Fiend website - where you will likely find the most current selection between whatever merchants are carrying it online.  Also, the merchants shown provide free shipping and returns service in case it needs to be exchanged.  And you can also get it - usually within a couple of days - from the resources provided on the site.

I can only speak for myself, but I believe that the Frye Julia Grommet Lace boot is one of the most gorgeous boots ever to grace the shelves of both online and offline stores - I think we are looking at a hit here, and possibly a new and stylin' trend in fashion.

Frye Carson Lace Up Boot - New Look In 2011 For the Carson Collection

The Frye Carson Lace Up boot is a fresh new addition to the options available to women this year from Frye.  While it still bears the familiar smooth western look of the Carson, it also laces up the front to provide a whole new touch to the "Carson look."

There are a couple of different ways this boot can be worn (which stand out to me as the most fashionable) - a more casual look with jeans, or with a long and flowing skirt for a lovely "Victorian" or old fashioned look.

Selection: At this writing there is a wide variety of selection of the Frye Carson Lace Up, being available in quite a number of colors. These include Butter (shown in photo left), Grey, Taupe, Light Yellow, Dark Brown, Cognac, Black and Cloud.

Shopping: For ladies searching for this boot in particular, there are a few different places to buy them. The one that I recommend the most (of course) is the Fashion Fiend site, since it is updated regularly with different resources online that carry the boot - all of the stores have free shipping and returns in case it doesn't fit right.

Other options include buying it at Zappos, or Endless.com. The prices (as of the 1st of March) are the same, but you might find different colors available between the two merchants.

A big "thumbs up" for the Frye Carson Lace Up Boot! My guess is that this will be a long-standing boot in the collection - and that women who own them will consider them to be a necessity in their wardrobe. =)
