BCBGirls Thong Sandals! What's Hot, Where to Buy

Alright ladies - get ready for some truly fun looks this summer with BCBGirls Thong Sandals! My oh my - these are like Fashion Fiend heaven!

First off, I just have to say this - you simply won't find thong sandals like these anywhere - period. Each style is so completely unique that there is no doubt about being noticed when wearing them. And - yes, typical of BCBGirls, they're comfortable as well.

#2 - BCBGirls Sadah Thong - This is one of many from the BCBGirls Wedge Thong collection, and is loved for it's lovely decoration and comfortable wear.

#3 - BCBGirls French Thong - Oh, I love this one - definitely a Fashion Fiend favorite. It's a wedge thong, and is available in some gold and silver colors with contrasting basic colors. It features a "charm bracelet" chain on one of the thong straps of each sandal. Lovely.

#4 - BCBGirls Felix Thong - This is the sleekest of the "most popular". A rather simple design, but true to BCBGirls "form" it has something that sets it apart - an oversized "BCBG"

round emblem in the front of the thong straps.

#5 - BCBGirls George High Heel Thong - This may be the most unique of the bunch. It's a shoe that combines the fun comfortable look of a thong sandal with a high heel and some moccassin fringe atop the thong straps - with some gold colored beads. I couldn't help but put a photo of this one here on this post - you can see a photo of it to the right.

Island Flip Flops for Men, Women and Kids from Bali

Sometimes the best fashion does not come from a well-known label and sort of reaches out from "left field" - I recently had the pleasure of coming across some gorgeous Island Flip Flops from Bali. These are hand-made sandals of the highest quality and are oh-so-comfortable!

The brand (as you might see from the above photo) is Loonaiki. The footbed is wonderfully comfy - during my first wearing, these flip flops conformed to the shape of my foot, making them quite easy to wear. They're also light with a sort of "walking on air" feeling.

But that's not really the best part - at least not for us Fashion Fiends! Just look at them! The photos on this page show two of the styles available - the photo top left is of the "Gianna Chic" flip flop - one of the most gorgeous in the collection. The photo to the right is the "Melissa Spirit" flip flop - which is one of the styles that I now own. =) (I loooooove the gold against the black background - quite elegant.)

The Story of Loonaiki Flip Flop Sandals: Loonaiki is based in the country of Bali, the flip flops are all hand-made. Decorations for the sandals (stones, etc. placed on the straps) all come right from the island where they are created.

Currently, Loonaiki flip flops are quite popular in France and Belgium, and have recently arrived the US - I expect that they will become just as popular here. I know that I love them - and am quite looking forward to showing them off this summer!

Dooney and Bourke Sac Bags for 2009

No matter where your tastes lie, I can tell you that if you at all have a need for a practical handbag, you will love at least one of the Dooney and Bourke Sac Bags for 2009.

The photo left shows the most popular version of the Dooney and Bourke Sac with a zipper pocket and top closure - in black. However, you can find this style of bag in what I would call a "huge"

IT Dooney and Bourke

IT bags may never go out of style - some of these bags that are near to my heart are the IT Dooney and Bourke styles.

D & B has taken the concept and look of an IT bag and made it extra special with some beautiful rainbow colors for signature lettering - against a black or white background, this feature makes these bags truly stand out from the rest.

Very stylish!

There are a number of types of bags to be found among the Dooney and Bourke IT Bags - including the barrel (shown in left photo), bucket, tote, wristlet and various accessories. They are also available with other pastel background colors including "Bubblegum" and a lovely baby blue shade. What a selection - and all of them gorgeous.

Chiara Dooney and Bourke Bags 2009

Next in the Fashion Fiend lineup for ladies handbags are the Chiara Dooney and Bourke Bags for 2009.

There is a variety of colors and patterns available for these Chiara bags, but the basic design is the same: wide bottom, drawstring and carrying handle at the top.

A couple of the more popular among the Chiara Dooney and Bourke Bags this year are the Zebra stripe (in various colors) and the patent leather version (also in various colors).

They also can be narrowed down by different sizes, each of which actually offer quite a bit of room and are not only quite stylin' - they're practical as well.

Bucket Dooney and Bourke - Selection 2009

Bucket Dooney and Bourke is one of my personal favorites from the D & B collection this year. I've always loved the roominess and style that a great bucket bag has to offer - and no one does it like Dooney & Bourke!

Here are the different looks in the collection this year (with tips on where to buy Bucket Dooney and Bourke Bags toward the end of this post):

IT Bag - you can see the black version of the "IT" Bucket Dooney and Bourke shown just left. It's also found in white, also with the fun pastel "DB" lettering. Both bags are lovely.

Zebra Bag - Who could forget the Zebra design?! It's a gorgeous bag, with red trim.

Quilt | East/West Bag - These are some of the most specifically searched out bags for ladies these days. They're extra roomy and are available in a number of different colors, with the signature "DB" lettering on each.

Giraffe Bag - Yes, the "giraffe" design is available in a bucket bag style! It's a good thing too for the ladies who love this design coupled with the practical and stylish bucket purse.
