BCBGirls Ariel Pump - Fashion Fiend Favorite from BCBGirls

I've been looking forward to writing more about the BCBGirls line, and my very favorite of the pumps is the BCBGirls Ariel Pump - a great peep toe with fabulous versatility and style.

The style - ahhhhh. The photos of the shoes almost do it justice - but when they're on, you can see why women love this shoe. The cut and the heel are "just so" - showing off a woman's natural curves and practically exploding with style.

Part of what I love about the BCBGirls Ariel Pump is the fact that there are so many colors and variations - not of the cut but of the surface of the shoe, so a woman could practically own a pair for any ensemble, whether it be for work, formal occasions or casual. (Pretty nifty!)

The BCBGirls Peep Toe Pump collection - yummy! Women are loving these pumps not only for their "gorgeousness", but for their ability to be worn for longer periods of time (than standard pumps) without discomfort.

The only difference between the Wish and the Wish 2 is the material that they're created with. The Wish 2 comes in a "reptilian" style leather that goes a bit beyond the normal look of a pump, they also have a touch of "bronze" that sets off that look.

Orange Chuck Taylor® - Yes, Hard to Find...

If you're looking for a pair of Orange Chuck Taylor® shoes and are having a bit of trouble finding them, you're not alone!

At least when it comes to finding them from any type of discount resource, they've become quite the scarcity.

OK - that's the problem, but what's the solution? Let's see if we can find them.

BCBGirls Pump Collection - Favorites 2009

Alright - the BCBGirls Pump Collection has become one of the Fashion Fiends new favorite finds! All of the BCBGirls shoes are fantastic - I actually had a tough time working out which collection I wanted to dig into first!

I've never seen a line of women's pumps more interesting than the BCBGirls Pump line - there is such a unique variety to choose from and different looks! And - even though they have a very sophisticated and sultry look to them they're actually quite reasonably priced (retail prices vary from around $90 to $110).

So - what are the favorites in the BCBGirls Pump lineup? Here they are...

BCBGirls Nice Pump - You can see a picture of those above-left. As you can see, they're quite sleek, and available in a number of great colors and looks.

BCBGirls Peep Toe Pump - There are a number of these to choose from including the BCBGirls Ariel Peep Toe Pump (shown right), BCBGirls Wish Peep Toe Pump (and the Wish 2, offering reptilian-looking surfaces on the upper and touched with bronze), the Bobby Platform pump and more. Each of these is quite unique in appearance and all of them are quite lovely.

BCBGirls Katchen Pump and the Kosty Pump - Both of these have very pointed toes, they're long and sleek and are sure to lend a sophisticated and sultry look to any woman who wears them. The Kosty (shown left) is decorated with a gorgeous embossed buckle across the top of the shoe - extremely stylish.

BCBGirls Lash 2 Pump - (Shown right.) This is the last one I will mention here specifically (although there are many more favorites in the BCBGirls Pump Collection) - it is a glossed, quilted high heel pump that is sure to be noticed "wherever it goes". =) One might not think that "quilted" might also look sexy, but this shoe really pulls off the look with some serious style.

Yellow Chuck Taylor® - What's Available and Where

My next "installment" in the Chuck Taylor® All Stars series of posts - Yellow Chuck Taylor® sneakers.

They're not as plentiful in terms of variety of styles these days, but there are some around - here's what I've been able to find:

Hi Tops - Yep, just like you see in the photo to the left. Canvas classic Yellow Chuck Taylor® hi's. They run standardly around $40-$45, and are available from Zappos.com.

Lo/Ox - Classic CT's in yellow - lo's/"Ox". These are priced similarly to the Hi's at around $40-$45 - available from Zappos.com.

While doing some browsing around for Yellow Chuck Taylor® varieties, I ran into a rather fun look - it's called the "Space" and has a fun pattern with what appears to be a cute little space girl in a bikini surfing - huh? Yep - it's pretty cute too, available in a couple of kids' sizes on eBay.com. (Note - this may only be available for a short time, since it's on auction.)

Now - the photo to the right is an interesting variety of Yellow Chuck Taylor® shoes - it's "Hand Painted Yellow Stripe" - very very cool look, and comes in at a whopping $149.99 on Amazon.com. It's available in almost every men's and women's size. (I'm lovin' those!)

Also, as of this writing there are some Double Upper Ox Yellow CT's available in kids' and toddler sizes. They're absolutely darling - but they may be short-lived due to the changeovers in Double Upper colors. These run around $30-$35 and are available from Zappos.

OK - I have a few more colors and "Fashion Fiend Detective work" to do for the Chucks - but that pretty much wraps it up for the Yellow Chuck Taylor® shoes. Hope this helped you out on your shopping!

Green Chuck Taylor® shoes - last year (2008) were the most popular color, the most sought after Chucks - other than the classic black and/or white CT's.

This year you will likely be able to find Green Chuck Taylor® shoes in a variety of styles, due to their popularity last year - so before buying a new pair, check out what's available...

Hi Tops - OK, we all pretty much know about these. These are the ones you can see in the photo to the left, and are the classic canvas and vulcanized rubber sole CT's. Pricing on them is around $45, sometimes you can find them for less - read on.

Lo Tops/Ox - Yep, you can still find the classic Green Chuck Taylor® - the Lo Tops in Green. These are usually priced at a bit less than the hi tops, coming in at around $40-$45 per pair. Again, you can sometimes find these at a much lower price than retail - sometimes. =)

Green Chuck Taylor® Double Upper - I've seen the color shades and mixes on these vary. One of the sharpest pairs I've seen have a white contrasting upper below the top upper. Very sweet look, and are available for around $45-$50, sometimes less.

You can also find Green Chuck Taylor® for kids, toddlers and infants too, in both the Hi Top and Lo/Ox version.
