Sometimes the best fashion does not come from a well-known label and sort of reaches out from "left field" - I recently had the pleasure of coming across some gorgeous Island Flip Flops from Bali. These are hand-made sandals of the highest quality and are oh-so-comfortable!The brand (as you might see from the above photo) is Loonaiki. The footbed is wonderfully comfy - during my first wearing, these flip flops conformed to the shape of my foot, making them quite easy to wear. They're also light with a sort of "walking on air" feeling.
But that's not really the best part - at least not for us Fashion Fiends! Just look at them! The photos on this page show two of the styles available - the photo top left is of the "Gianna Chic" flip flop - one of the most gorgeous in the collection. The photo to the right is the "Melissa Spirit" flip flop - which is one of the styles that I now own. =) (I loooooove the gold against the black background - quite elegant.)The Story of Loonaiki Flip Flop Sandals: Loonaiki is based in the country of Bali, the flip flops are all hand-made. Decorations for the sandals (stones, etc. placed on the straps) all come right from the island where they are created.
Currently, Loonaiki flip flops are quite popular in France and Belgium, and have recently arrived the US - I expect that they will become just as popular here. I know that I love them - and am quite looking forward to showing them off this summer!
